This this, all this. Or the "pro-natals" in A Handmaid's Tale?

And this just, well, it doesn't make me angry so much as weep because we are DOING THIS TO OURSELVES and just making the problem that much WORSE. Why are we behaving like misogynistic bastards to EACH OTHER? There are plenty of people out there willing to do that to us.

And, yes, I was thinking of the breast feeding/formula argument (I did all of the above, btw: nursing, pumping, formula, and I also had a 'natural' vaginal delivery with no epidural for anyone who's counting, 12 hours of labor on the money, and, for the record, this was fully and solely my choice to do so as my husband would have supported my decisions either way and I? I do not feel proud over my specific choices so much as proud to be the mother to such an amazing child. ALSO my brother and I were exclusively formula fed and our test scores didn't exactly suffer, i.e. we were not deprived dum-dums. ... /mother rant over). And the domesticity vs. career. And the marriage vs. single debate, and where the heck you buy your clothes, and HOLY COW DO WE REALLY HAVE THAT MUCH FREE TIME? How are we finding minutes in the day to decide what we as a gender "should" do and pick on people who do not?

And we can't even agree, can we? You either have to be a mommy or a career woman, or a working mom or s SAHM, or married or single or.... ffffffffff.

ALSO for the record, as clueless as my husband can be sometimes, he takes his supposedly non-existent childrearing duties seriously and I, in fact, am considering getting a babysitter FOR HIM just so he will take some actual time to himself.

I don't feel superior, I feel blessed. And I feel a lot of sympathy for women who make "choices" not out of freedom of will but because it was the only available option, or the lesser of the evils.

... Okay, I lied, I can't stop ranting about this. Women should not be penalized for having children, women should not be penalized for not having children. Women should not be penalized for the way they have or raise their children (unless it's just out right, well abusive. I'd love to penalize stupid, but we don't have the resources and that would include everyone from time to time). Women should just not be penalized for having a uterus. Or even not having a uterus.

My gods, it never ends. Forgive me for spewing all over you LJ This is just kind of...

Well, I used to be one of those women who hated breeders. Until nature decided to make me one. And now, the past almost 4 years counting pregnancy have just been... REVELATION. @~@

Also jealous of your hammer.
