I just realized that I have a favorite embroidery stitch. (It's Lazy Daisies, if you're curious. I realized this because I hit the point of this pattern where there are a bunch of them and went, "Yay! My favorite embroidery stitch!") I cannot describe to you how much of a colossal nerd this makes me feel.

Am I alone, or do other people have favorite embroidery stitches, metaphorically speaking? (It doesn't have to specifically be an embroidery stitch, it could be a painting technique or a writing style or something.)

My favorite crochet stitch is the shell stitch. I have no idea why, but for whatever reason it relaxes me and makes me happy when it pops up in a pattern. My favorite part of writing is dialogue, when I'm first setting scenes down on paper and sort of roughly blocking in the rest. The dialogue usually comes to mind faster than I can write it down. I'm not saying it's good, just that I enjoy that part the best.

I love the name Lazy Daisies.
