I just realized that I have a favorite embroidery stitch. (It's Lazy Daisies, if you're curious. I realized this because I hit the point of this pattern where there are a bunch of them and went, "Yay! My favorite embroidery stitch!") I cannot describe to you how much of a colossal nerd this makes me feel.
Am I alone, or do other people have favorite embroidery stitches, metaphorically speaking? (It doesn't have to specifically be an embroidery stitch, it could be a painting technique or a writing style or something.)

Date: 2009-12-31 04:11 am (UTC)From:I'm more of a knitter. My favorites are the Modified Seed Stitch (I made a baby blanket with this stitch blue yarn and it looked like waves on the ocean) for heavy knitting and the Spider Stitch for lace.
If you want to talk about little quirks, when I bake? I have this almost superstition that things come out better if I buy the store brand. No idea why. The best brownies I've ever made... are from a 99 cent Kroger brand mix. Cookies? The generic chips, always. I've experimented with this over the years and I just don't get it, but I go with it. =D /dork
